2025-2026 OBX Green Drinks

Event Series (See All)

March 12 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm

Join us in Nags Head for the 2025-2026 season of OBX Green Drinks, a popular monthly speaker series that brings together our Outer Banks community for an evening of networking, presentations on local environmental topics, and enjoying good food and drink. OBX Green Drinks is held monthly from October through March at Waverider’s in Nags Head. The OBX Green Drinks Series is free, with food and drinks available for purchase.

This is the final OBX Green Drinks gathering of the 2025/2026 season, and we have an extra special evening planned that you will not want to miss!

We will be premiering a short-form documentary filmed this past summer right here in the Outer Banks. The film explains barrier-island dynamics on the Outer Banks in an accessible way and features local voices from Hatteras Island who contribute to our community in diverse and meaningful ways.

This film is part of a larger series produced by ‘Planet A’ that highlights communities on the front lines of environmental change. The series is designed to inform and inspire younger generations to engage in solutions, and it will be included in the NYC Environmental Film Festival and through the United Nations Young Champions of the Earth Programme.

While the short documentary addresses oceanfront challenges, the evening itself will be a celebration of community. Several individuals featured in the film will join us in-person for a brief conversation after the screening to share insight on the positive contributions and positive impacts they are making locally.
