The North Carolina Coastal Federation is the state’s only nonprofit organization focused exclusively on protecting and restoring the coast of North Carolina through education, advocacy, and habitat restoration and preservation. Formed in 1982, the Federation focuses on three main program areas: habitat restoration and protection; environmental education; and the encouragement of sound environmental rules and regulations and their enforcement.
The Federation’s headquarters is located in Ocean. It also maintains field offices in Wrightsville Beach and Wanchese.

The North Carolina Coastal Federation (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received via email at nicholasg@nccoast.org and a carbon copy to Jonathan.hinkle@bolton-menk.com until Friday, October 30, 2026, at 3:30 PM EST. Bids will be privately reviewed, and the bidders will be notified of their status following bid tabulation and evaluation. The U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration is providing partial funding for this project (EDA Investment No. 04-01-07877).

A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Thursday, 10/01/26 at 9:00 am EST at Straits Boating Access Area – 1648 Harkers Island Road, Straits, NC. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.
