Soundside Cleanup at Fort Macon State Park
February 26 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Join us for a shoreline cleanup in partnership with Fort Macon State Park and the Surfrider Foundation – Bogue Banks Chapter! One of the Coastal Federation’s primary initiatives is to reduce the amount of marine debris littering coastal marshes, beaches and waterways.
Volunteers will meet at the Fort Macon State Park Visitors Center parking lot by 9 a.m. on February 26. Please meet by the parked white Ranger pickup truck, which will guide everyone to the soundside as a group. Please wear weather appropriate clothing that may get wet and dirty. Closed-toe shoes are required. Trash collection supplies, gloves, water, sunscreen and bug spray will be provided. This event is weather dependent.
