Native Planting at Cedar Island Shoreline
October 15 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

The Coastal Federation and Carteret County invite volunteers to help protect shoreline, one plant at a time. Volunteers will plant upland grasses and perennial flowers to help protect this area from erosion and create wildlife habitat.
Volunteers will meet at the end of Mariners Village Lane by 10 a.m. and should wear weather-appropriate clothes that can get dirty. Closed-toed shoes that cover the foot are required. Volunteers should also bring a water bottle, hat, sunglasses and any medications needed. Snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, gloves and planting tools will be provided.
