Green Drinks Morehead City

March 26 @ 5:30 pm 7:30 pm

Green Drinks is a casual monthly gathering for people who care about our coast. Whether you enjoy boating, beach days, or simply want to keep our waters clean and our communities strong, this is a relaxed space to connect with others, hear from local voices, and stay up to date on important coastal topics. Each month, we’ll highlight a different issue—like salt marsh restorationoysters, or local happenings that impact the coast—and talk about how we can work together to protect the places we all enjoy. Grab a drink from the bar and join the conversation—these events are free and open to the public.

This month, we are welcoming the Croatan Group of the Sierra Club. Representing Sierra Club members across Carteret, Craven, Onslow, Jones, and Pamlico counties, the Croatan Group works locally to foster environmental education, awareness, and community engagement.

During this presentation, you’ll hear about the group’s partnerships with state and national Sierra Club chapters, as well as collaborations with local governments, Carteret Community College, and nonprofit organizations like Coastal Carolina Riverwatch. They’ll also highlight their outings program, which connects people to natural areas across eastern North Carolina and builds appreciation for the places they are working to protect.

The group will share insights into regional conservation priorities and how community-based outreach, education, and engagement can support long-term environmental stewardship. Attendees will come away with a better understanding of local conservation efforts and ways to get involved!
