It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to one of our most dedicated volunteers in the southeast coastal region, John King Jr. A retired geologist, John served on the advisory committee for the Wrightsville Beach office and was one of the original Coastal Ambassadors. John was truly one of the kindest human beings and rarely missed an opportunity to come out and help with one of our restoration projects. His warmth and enthusiasm for giving back to the community and protecting the environment will not be forgotten. The King family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the federation. His full obituary is available here.
