Development Coordinator

Britta Vivaldi grew up on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay in Southern Maryland, where her connection to the water began at an early age. That passion led her to the United States Naval Academy, where she earned a degree in Oceanography before commissioning into the Marine Corps. She went on to serve 10 years as a Marine Corps Logistics Officer, leading teams in high-stakes environments around the world. After transitioning from active duty, Britta entered the renewable energy sector, managing complex projects aimed at building a more sustainable future. It was through this work that her dedication to environmental preservation deepened, especially when it came to protecting our waterways. Today, Britta is honored to bring her leadership experience and environmental passion to the work of the North Carolina Coastal Federation. She believes deeply in the power of community, education, and conservation to protect the coast for generations to come.
