The North Carolina Coastal Federation is the state’s only nonprofit organization focused exclusively on protecting and restoring the coast of North Carolina through education, advocacy, and habitat restoration and preservation. Formed in 1982, the Federation focuses on three main program areas: habitat restoration and protection; environmental education; and the encouragement of sound environmental rules and regulations and their enforcement.
The Federation’s headquarters is located in Ocean. It also maintains field offices in Wrightsville Beach and Wanchese.

North Carolina Coastal Federation Salt Marsh Restoration Design, Permitting, and Construction Oversight
The Federation is seeking qualified professional services for the design, permitting, and construction oversight of five nature-based coastal restoration projects. The projects will incorporate techniques such as living shorelines, shoreline revegetation, and the beneficial use of dredge materials to stabilize eroding shorelines, protect existing salt marsh, and restore degraded salt marsh habitats.
