Erin is currently a junior in the Honors College at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, studying for a B.S. in environmental science on a conservation track, a B.A. in political science, and minors in sustainability and international affairs. They are extremely interested in climate policy, with an emphasis on coastal and ocean policy. Specifically, they are researching how the warming of the planet is affecting sea level rise in coastal environments, and the best ways to combat that. They enjoy cycling, going to the beach, hammocking, and spending time outside. Erin is beyond excited to join the North Carolina Coastal Federation as a coastal management intern, where they can learn, gain hands-on experience, and play a part in protecting North Carolina’s coast.
