I am a rising senior at East Carolina University majoring in Biology, with a concentration in Ecology. Originally from southern Maryland, I grew up near the Chesapeake Bay and the Patuxent River. I moved to North Carolina in 2015. I’ve always had an interest in Biology, and realized my passion for working with the environment when I transferred to ECU in 2021. I am especially interested in the impacts of coastal squeeze on our communities and how restoring our wetlands and estuaries can reduce those impacts. I am excited to have this opportunity with the Coastal Federation this summer to learn more about current coastal issues in North Carolina and how I can help solve them now and in the future.
