The film explains barrier-island dynamics on the Outer Banks in an accessible way and features local voices from Hatteras Island who contribute to our community in diverse and meaningful ways. \n\n\n\nThis film is part of a larger series produced by ‘Planet A’ that highlights communities on the front lines of environmental change. The series is designed to inform and inspire younger generations to engage in solutions\, and it will be included in the NYC Environmental Film Festival and through the United Nations Young Champions of the Earth Programme. \n\n\n\nWhile the short documentary addresses oceanfront challenges\, the evening itself will be a celebration of community. Several individuals featured in the film will join us in-person for a brief conversation after the screening to share insight on the positive contributions and positive impacts they are making locally. \n\n\n\nThis includes: \n\n\n\n\nJoy Crist\, Editor\, Island Free Press\n\n\n\nTrip Forman\, President\, OBX Forever & Co-Founder\, REAL Watersports\n\n\n\nCaptain Esben Boxer\, Owner\, Tidal Pursuits Fishing\n\n\n\nMichael Halminski\, Photographer\, Michael Halminski Photography
