SUMMARY:Shoreline Planting at Fort Macon State Park
DESCRIPTION:The Coastal Federation and Fort Macon State Park invite volunteers to help protect shoreline\, one plant at a time. Volunteers will plant salt marsh grasses to help protect the soundside from erosion and create habitat for marine life.  \n\n\n\nVolunteers will meet at the Fort Macon State Park Visitor Center parking lot by 10 a.m. Please meet by the parked white Ranger pickup truck\, which will guide everyone out to the soundside beach as a group. Volunteers should wear weather-appropriate clothes that can get wet and dirty. Closed-toed shoes that cover the foot are required. Volunteers should also bring a water bottle\, hat\, sunglasses and any medications they may need. Snacks\, water\, sunscreen\, bug spray\, gloves and planting tools will be provided.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is limited to 30 people and registration is required. \n\n\n\n\nRegister Here\n\n\n\n\nLocation:
