Shoreline Cleanup at Jones Island

June 13 @ 10:00 am 1:00 pm

One of the Coastal Federation’s primary initiatives is to reduce the amount of marine debris littering coastal marshes, beaches, and waterways. Together with Hammocks Beach State Park, we invite volunteers to clean up Jones Island, a small island in the White Oak River.

Volunteers will meet at the Hammocks Beach State Park Visitors Center by 9:45 a.m. on June 13.

Please wear weather-appropriate clothing that may get wet and dirty. Closed-toe shoes are required. Trash collection supplies, gloves, peanut butter sandwich fixings, water, sunscreen, and bug spray will be provided.

This event is limited to 20 people and is weather dependent. Please register below to reserve your spot.
