Oysters Uncovered: A Farm-to-Fork Experience
October 30 @ 11:00 am – 12:30 pm
Join Us for an Afternoon of Adventure and Oyster Tasting!
Immerse yourself in a delightful farm-to-fork experience this October during Oyster Month! Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon on the water as you kayak along the stunning shores of Broad Creek, exploring the Coastal Federation’s demonstration oyster farm and living shoreline.
This unique kayak adventure will allow participants to navigate the pristine coastal marsh while paddling on sit-on-top kayaks provided generously by Outer Banks Kayak Adventures.
Your excursion will be guided by experienced staff from Outer Banks Kayak Adventures along with Victoria Blakey, the Federation’s Coastal Specialist. Together, they will share insights into the fascinating workings of oyster farms and living shorelines while highlighting the diverse bird and marine life that inhabit the area.
