The NC Marine Debris Symposium brings together state organizations, non-profits, including the North Carolina Coastal Federation, researchers, citizens, scientists and students to collaborate on the pollution that impacts our state and region. Speakers will be presenting from several institutions followed by Q&A sessions covering topics including recycling, plastic pollution, marine debris removal, research, education and more. To learn more, to register and preview the agenda visit: www.ncmarinedebrissymposium.com/2018
Registration is $40 for one day or $70 for both days.
The Coastal Federation will be leading one of the dedicated sessions where participants will learn about the development of a draft N.C. Marine Debris Action Plan. Participants will have a chance to review the draft plan and provide input through facilitated activities. Participants will learn about strategies that are currently being implemented and will have an opportunity to join a working group that is or will be implementing Action Plan strategies. This is a multiple stakeholder collaborative effort. Please come prepared to participate and prepared to leave with action items to work collaboratively on throughout the next year.
