HATTERAS – Fish for a good cause on Sat., Oct. 4, aboard the Miss Hatteras. Proceeds from the fishing trip will support the N.C. Coastal Federation’s education and restoration programs.

The 75-foot head boat will leave Oden’s Dock in Hatteras Village at 6:30 a.m. and head to the Gulf Stream for some bottom fishing. It will be back about 4 p.m.

The trip is $120 a person. Federation members will get a $20 discount.

Participants will have the opportunity to catch a variety of fish including triggerfish, black sea bass and snapper. With a little luck, you might catch supper.  The top angler during the trip will receive a prize.

Federation volunteers will be on board to talk about the work the federation is accomplishing to protect water quality in the Pamlico Sound and coastal North Carolina.
