NCCF to Co-Host
National Restoration Conference

     Ocean, NC – The North Carolina Coastal Federation will co-host Saving Our Coastal Heritage, the Inaugural National Conference on Coastal and Estuarine Habitat Restoration, with Restore America's Estuaries. The Conference will be held April 13-16, 2003, in Baltimore, Maryland at the Hyatt Regency Inner Harbor Hotel. Save $100 when you register by January 17th!
     The purpose of Saving Our Coastal Heritage is to mobilize the restoration community toward advancing our knowledge, practice, pace and success in habitat restoration. This gathering will enable communication throughout the coastal and estuarine habitat restoration community, which a vital next step as coastal habitat restoration takes its place among our nation's priorities. Participants from every coastal region of the United States – including the Great Lakes – will share their experiences and expertise during an array of workshops, plenary sessions and outdoor learning opportunities.

The North Carolina Coastal Federation (NCCF) is the state's largest nonprofit organization working to restore and protect the coast. NCCF headquarters are located at 3609 Highway 24 in Ocean between Morehead City and Swansboro and are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm. The headquarters include NCCF's main offices, the Cape Lookout Coastkeeper office, a gift shop, Nature Library, Weber Seashell Exhibit, ShoreKeeper Learning Center, and adjoining nature trail.
