Gramercy Christian School, located at 8170 Highway 70 in Newport, is a private Christian school for all ages. Robert Cummins teaches the sixth grade at Gramercy and his students have expressed interest in getting as much hands-on work as possible. Mr. Cummins and his students often take day trips to local areas to study marine environments.
The 2004-2005 school year was Gramercy’s first with the Wetland Nursery program. Over the past two years, they have helped to plant over 4,000 Spartina Alterniflora plants.
