Learn Today . . . Stewards Tomorrow

Broad Creek Middle School, located on Highway 24 in Carteret County, is a public middle school for sixth through eighth graders. Science teacher Anne Moccia began teaching at BCMS in 2005, and visited the Coastal Federation to discuss possible student opportunities. Her eighth graders now work with the Wetland Nursery program. Since most students live near wetlands or a coastal ecosystem, they appreciate and enjoy knowing more about the environment in which they live.

This is the second year Broad Creek Middle has been involved with the Coastal Federation and wetland plantings.
