Earth Day Celebration

by Anita Lancaster last modified 09-11-2006 06:26

The Crystal Coast of Carteret County stretches along 85 miles of North Carolina’s central coast. It is one of the most spectacular and productive areas along the east coast. Here you can still find quiet places teeming with native plants and wildlife. Half water and half land, Carteret County is home to scenic rivers, creeks and sounds, shellfish areas, National Forests, and one of America’s few remaining undeveloped National Seashores. We cherish the area’s natural resources and we’re working together to help preserve, protect and restore the coastal environment in Carteret County. To celebrate the unique beauty of the Crystal Coast, environmental groups, area businesses and volunteers have planned an exciting three-day weekend of fascinating events that highlight Carteret County’s special natural places.
Through our Earth Day Celebration, we hope to share the beauty and environmental importance of our coast with those who will help keep the Crystal Coast healthy and beautiful for visitors, residents and future generations. If you love beautiful places, and want to see them stay that way, please join us for the Crystal Coast Earth Day Celebration.
